    Help with Mac desktop connection

My Mac desktop is saying that there is no internet connection. I have restarted my router and modem, and I know that the internet is working because I’ve been using WiFi on my phone, TV, and PlayStation. I’m pretty sure the computer does need an iOS update, but I can’t connect to the internet to check. I’m not the most tech savvy, but here’s what I’ve tried so far: 1. Restarting the computer 2. Using an Ethernet cable to connect directly. (Note: under Network, I do see the green dot and word ‘connected’ for the Ethernet connection as well as the WiFi.) 3. Using my phones hotspot to connect to the internet. 4. Attempted factory resetting the computer - went to General -> transfer or reset -> erase all content and setting. But I keep getting a message that states “erase assistant is not supported on this Mac” and I’m not sure what to do beyond this Computer information: iMac Retina 5k 27” 2019 Currently has MacOS Sonoma 14.6.1 Any information or advice is appreciated. Thank you!
