FileVault Recovery Key Missing on MacBook

I’m using a **MacBook Pro 16” (M1 Pro, 1TB)** on **macOS Sequoia 15.2**. FileVault is enabled, and the settings show: [WARNING: You will need your login password or a recovery key to access your data. A recovery key is automatically generated as part of this setup. If you forget both your password and recovery key, the data will be lost. FileVault is turned on for the disk “Macintosh HD.” A recovery key has been set.](https://preview.redd.it/mv7mf9rgjr9e1.png?width=912&format=png&auto=webp&s=e2096e9d3d1cdd4406238049da9fe86059e89f58) However, I don’t remember setting up a recovery key. Terminal commands show: sudo fdesetup validaterecovery   Enter the current recovery key:   Error: Not a valid recovery key.   sudo fdesetup haspersonalrecoverykey   false   **My Questions:** • Does this mean my **Apple ID** is being used to unlock the disk instead of a recovery key? • How can I confirm this or set up a recovery key if needed? • Has anyone else encountered a similar issue? Thanks in advance for your help! 🙏 #
