External devices keep getting disconnected during file transfer

I have a m1 based macbook pro. I notice it would disconnect an external device after say 10min of file copying. For example, I have a dji pocket (basically a camera), and I copy files from it to the macbook via usb c. If the transfer is less than around 10min it will be fine but afterwards it might disconnect. Same problem when I try to copy files from the macbook to an external ssd drive. There is nothing wrong with both devices as I have performed the same operation my windows laptop. So I believe something is wrong with the macbook, maybe a setting somewhere that I missed?
