Can I airdrop files from SD card connected to ipad/iphone, without adding the files to the device's internal storage?

TLDR - the title. I think the answer is no. I just want to make sure. CONTEXT: My work is prohibiting external drives of any kind on our laptops for security reasons, but I use the computer for video editing, which they are fine with. But now I don't know wtf I'm gonna do. No good solutions, but I'm holding out hope that I could... \- connect SD to iphone or ipad \- NOT add files to the device's storage (big files, limited ipad space) \- airdrop directly from that connected SD card Like I said, I think the answer is no, but wanted full confirmation. I know I can also do a super rigorous routine of adding things to Dropbox, Google Drive, etc on a different machine, then pulling it down on the mac, but I'm concerned about all the steps and the delayed upload/download times. Any other solutions appreciated.
