    Bug with MacOS password entry

Hi community, I’ve been having an issue with the entry of my password on my MacBook. Hardware is a MacBook Pro M3 running the latest MacOS. My MacBook has the German keyboard ⌨️. I recently changed my language on my Mac from English US to English (Hence I required a restart of my computer). Now, when I try to login, the password (I’m sure) doesn’t work). This seems to be an issue with the keyboard layout. The keyboard top right section (See image) says German layout. But the real entry is not following the German keyboard layout. When I login to a guest account (The “ö” key passes “;” to the system). This is the second time this issue is happening. The last time it happened, I had to reset my computer and restore from a backup. I wouldn’t want to do that now. I haven’t enabled accessibility options to have an onscreen keyboard (I’m guessing you have to activate this before it works with CMD + Option + F5). I’ll appreciate any help on how to resolve this issue.
