Acrobat Pro Alternative for Mac? With heavy editing capabilities ..

I am beginning to believe my Mac and Acrobat don't play well .. and Acrobat when it's working well is exactly what I need because I create LARGE reports with archival documents. It's not just a "w signature" tool for me. I spent the last four days trying to undo the MESS that Acrobat made of my Mac.. Exhibit A. The Security release. https://www.cisa.gov/news-events/alerts/2024/12/10/adobe-releases-security-updates-multiple-products It made everything worse and was inviting all kinds of outsiders in. FML I need an alternative that isn't gonna take me a month to learn and isn't full of bugs. Does this exist? Mac Accessibility program is still all bad too (just wanted to add that).
