How to remove com.apple.provenance extended attribute from apache project downloads?

I downloaded apache-spark like in countless times in previous versions of macOS. Upon decompressing the tarball in Sequoia (only) all of the executables in the *bin* directory are marked with *com.apple.provenance* extended attribute. I can not determine how to remove the attributes.
