Battery apparently charged to 100% when in sleep mode and unplugged, then instantly dropped to 0% when I tried to switch it on?

Hey! I have a 2019 Macbook Air. Recently I've been having issues with my laptop completely draining the battery while in sleep mode (though not always? maybe 90% of the time). This morning, after it happened again, I checked the battery level tracker in my settings and what it showed is really confusing and just not accurate. I've attached a screenshot. Here is what actually happened: I put my laptop in sleep mode, unplugged, at around midnight, then tried to launch it around 9am. I discovered the battery was drained and plugged it in to charge. But what the tracker is saying is that: 1. My laptop was charging from around 1.30am to 9am - definitely not true. (I plugged it in at 9am, so the last two bars are accurate.) 2. It then apparently dropped from 100% right to 0% at 9am, i.e. the moment I tried to switch it on - what? how? Does anyone know what's going on here? I'm so confused. https://preview.redd.it/s7evbgq6tohe1.png?width=1020&format=png&auto=webp&s=1b17cf497e820b354f98b78484e6844241afdecb
