Tip: Turning off Siri Suggestions in Calendar app on Sequoia 15.1.1
After who knows how many years, I finally broke down and figured out how to turn off Siri suggestions in the Calendar app on MacOS, which I've never used. Apple's instructions [here](https://support.apple.com/guide/calendar/use-siri-suggestions-iclc121e66ee/mac#) are wrong, however. Here's how to do it. 1. Launch "System Settings" (Command-space to launch Spotlight, then type "System Settings"). 2. From the left-hand column, select "Apple Intelligence & Siri". 3. Select the "About Siri, Dictation & Privacy..." button. 4. In the window that pops up, select "Calendar" from the left-hand column. 5. Turn off the toggle control for "Show Siri Suggestions in application". 6. Select the "Done" button. 7. Exit "System Settings". 8. Bask in smugness, and go get to the fridge and grab the beverage of your choice to enjoy to take advantage of all the time that will need be saved because you no longer have to go into the Calendar app and manually delete the calendar entry every time there's Siri suggestion.5
