Apple Magic trackpad being recognised as a mouse instead of a trackpad

The trackpad is new (version 3.1.4) It works as a trackpad on by Macbook Pro (M2 max) It doesn't work as expected on Macbook Air (M3) The reason I know it recognises as a mouse is because changing the scroll speed for mouse changes the scroll speed, the one on trackpad doesn't work. https://preview.redd.it/7wmpxfxyb27e1.png?width=1412&format=png&auto=webp&s=6e91dd8543db38011f3b3337b645c332370a8eb8 https://preview.redd.it/7vl6bexyb27e1.png?width=1428&format=png&auto=webp&s=1c7a8a54f449585ac6821da007d8263bbef4f48d On the Macbook air - I have tried: * Reconnecting * Restarting * Connecting with a wire * Restarting bluetooth -  `sudo pkill bluetoothd` Any other people who have encountered this?
