Water got to my Mac

I have a MacBook Pro and it had some water spilled on it yesterday when a few friends were over. I saved for a while for it so I’m trying desperately to save it. Any tips or what to look for. I was able to get the back off and I’ve been leaving it to dry while keeping it off. From what I saw online the key is that it making sure it didn’t get to the logic board - any way to know that for sure?
