The built-in display is not working, but the external monitor is.

I have a MacBook Air M2 running macOS Sonoma 14.1. I haven’t used this laptop for almost six months, and now the built-in display is not working, while the external monitor is. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Has anyone experienced this issue?
