Speech to type dictation, not working in Google docks anymore since Sequoia update!

Since I updated my MBP 14 to Sequoia 15.1, I can no longer use speech to type dictation in Google Docs, which I desperately need for my forsaken essays. I used it all the time before, but suddenly, after updating, it no longer works. The only way around it is to switch to another tab, start the dictation in the browser, and switch back to Docs, which gets annoying. I also don't see the built-in speech-to-text options in docs under tools. Anyone have any clues?
