Sharing External Drive on Network?

I can't figure out what's going wrong here. Mac Studio running Sequoia 15.2. I want to share an external SSD drive (connected via thunderbolt) to the other macs on the network but nothing seems to work. * I ticked "Shared Folder" in the Get Info pane for the drive but it doesn't seem to have done anything. * I've gone to Settings -> File Sharing and clicked the + to add the drive as a shared drive but once clicking that, it doesn't add it to the list of shared drives. What am I doing wrong?
