Screen Saver app randomly appeared on dock
**TITLE CORRECTION: SCREEN SHARE APP NOT SCREEN SAVER APP** Hey guys, Today I opened my MacBook Air and found the Screen Sharing Mac Application sitting in my dock, it wasn’t opened as a tab, but the app was just sitting there with that little grey dot underneath it. I definitely didn’t open this app myself, as I’d literally never seen it or even heard of it till I saw it there, which is why I noticed it straight away. Like I said, zero recollection of opening the app so I got a bit freaked out. To be clear, it’s never been in my dock before now, which is why it was unusual. I checked and the app is set to be removed from the dock after its quit so it would have had to have been opened. To be safe, I changed my Mac’s password and did a quick sweep of my Mac’s files, recent activity etc. and found nothing sus, and the Screen Time in settings had no evidence of the Screen Share app even being used at all, despite it being open in my dock. My question is, is anyone aware of a reason why this app could open by itself?? I live with room mates so I suppose there’s a chance someone else has been on my Mac but I think this is very unlikely as I know and trust them both a lot and im pretty vigilant about entering passwords in privacy and making sure my Mac is always locked when I’m not there. So, yeah, to ease my mind, is there a reason this could have happened? I feel I’ve done everything I can security-wise but I’m still a bit freaked out so wondering if anyone can ease my mind a bit 😅 Cheers!2
