rdp printing issue

I have a Mac that can not print over rdp when using MS Remote Desktop. I have tried multiple printers, USB and network. It can print normally reliably. Printer redirection is enabled. The windows print dialog box shows the local printer redirected butt the spool queue never receives anything. I've flushed all printers and re-added just the local printer as a test. No difference. Initially the mac was running High Sierra so it's been upgraded to Sequoia in a number of steps for safety reasons. CORD crashes unfortunately. thanx in advance db:)
