Pixels on my screen

Realised yesterday that my MacBook Pro would not start. After a couple hours it started, froze after a few seconds and shut down. Same thing happened this morning. But now my screen is flickering with these pixels… Is it time for me to retire this laptop? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
