Opening an iTunes Libary with Apple Music

Hi, I used to have an old Mac with EL Capitan OS. My iTunes library was on an external HD, I used to option-open it. Now, I got a late 2013 “trashcan” Mac Pro with Monterey and since iTunes is replaced with Apple Music, I can no longer choose my old library. My music archive is 1.3 TB and Mac Pro has 500 GB. I want to be able to continue opening my old iTunes library with Music app from the same external HD without losing my playlists and similar data. What is the way to do this please?
