Long ping bursts on all my macs
I've been dealing with a frustrating issue for a while now and would appreciate any insights. My setup includes three Macs (Mac Mini, iMac, and MacBook Pro), a Linux machine, and an Android phone, all connecting to the same Ubiquiti access point via Wi-Fi. The problem is that all three Macs experience bursts of long ping times (ranging from >100ms to 800ms) when pinging the access point. In contrast, the Linux machine and Android phone consistently maintain excellent ping times (<10ms). Notably, the issue varies across the Macs—my MacBook Pro is the worst affected, while the Mac Mini performs the best. The access point is located very close to my setup in the office, and everything worked perfectly for years. However, since September, these high ping times have become frequent, severely impacting Google Meet and Zoom calls. # Mac Details: * **iMac**: macOS 12.7.6, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD * **MacBook Pro**: macOS 13.7.1, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD * **Mac Mini**: macOS 15.1, 24GB RAM, 512GB SSD I've tried several troubleshooting steps, including rebooting the Macs and the access point, and even replacing the access point, but the issue persists. Any suggestions or ideas on what could be causing this?3
