In 15.2, Night Shift "Turn on until tomorrow" doesn't impact Auto Appearance until the Custom Schedule kicks in
I have my Night Shift custom schedule from 6pm to 6am. Before 15.2, if I woke up at 5:30 one morning and wanted to turn my Mac running 15.2 Sequoia to light mode while leaving it on Auto, I'd go into Night Shift settings and click on and off "Turn on until tomorrow," which would kick the OS back into light mode. With 15.2, that association no longer holds. Now it seems like the only way to override the custom schedule is to adjust a custom Night Shift schedule or switch off of Auto Appearance, which is fairly limiting; now I need to set an alarm to change things back to how they used to be after the custom schedule kicks in (e.g. after 6:00 AM). 1. Has anyone else noticed the same thing? 2. Is there some command line invocation that I can use to get the same effect, that is, of toggling light mode on until my custom schedule kicks in?1
