I can't get the OS to install ....

I try installing the operating system from the web by having it installed over Wi-Fi but I'm not able to get it to install. I'm not quite sure what to do because there are no backups to restore from and this Macbook pro I didn't see a whole lot of options and disc utility either. What can I do to figure out why it's not installing?
