How to work with multiple spaces on macOS? Any tricks?

I tried to build my multi-spaces workflow in linux&windows. But macOS has really confused me. Dock is not helpful at all in this case, it doesn't hide apps that don't belong to the current space, nor show any information about which window belongs to which space. Same by cmd+tap, I used "AltTap", it does help a bit. I've tried Stage Manager and like the concept. It doesn't work well with multi monitors. Mission Control doesn't show hided/minimized windows.
