How do I fix this issue - MacBook crashing when in full screen mode, purple scan lines showing (see image)

When I view videos in full screen from any browser (Safari / Chrome), I get these purple scan lines after a few seconds which bricks/crashes the MacBook. I then have to restart. This happens to YouTube videos and other video players. It DOESNT occur for JW Player videos or native video player apps like QuickTime or VLC. MacBook Pro Early 2015 Running MacOS Monterey 12.7
