Can not remote into apple silicon

Hello, I use remote desktop quite often from my windows machine, I used to remote into my intel mac mini when I needed a mac and it worked fine. I purchased the new m4 mac mini and I can not remote into it I always get "Error code: 0x516" and "Error code 0x4" I thought that was weird so I tried to remote into my macbook m1max and got the same error. Here is where it gets werid. I can get into my mac mini using RealVNC I have used remote desktop from my mac to get into my PC when I am elsewhere in my house for years, and I can access all my windows machines from my macbook pro and my m4 mac mini. More importantly, the windows app on windows currently is only for organizations such as schools or work "Connect to your cloud resources with a work or school account" This is what it tells you when you open the app on a windows machine **TLDR** On my m1 max macbook pro it is still called remote desktop I can remote into any windows pc / not my m4 mac mini On my m4 mac mini I use the windows app I can remote into any windows pc / not into my m1 max On my PC I still use Remote Desktop I can remote into other pc's and my ubuntu / not into my m1max or m4 Any help is useful, I tried going on apple community but needless to say it was a shit show of no help, lol.
