Application's seems to have calculated space used wrong, 100GB missing

I went into my applications folder and it said I've used approx. 188GB, but after calculating the top 10 files (mostly Steam games) they only attribute to approx. 82GB so I seem to have a mystery 100GB missing from what my Applications folder says I have. I've tried to do some internet searching and went onto Finder-Go-Macintosh HD and have managed to make it show me that the 188GB is on users-\[myname\], but when I go on \[myname\] and start making it calculate the sizes all of the files under \[myname\] not a single one is even bigger than 2.5GB, despite if I do 'Quick Look' on the \[myname\] file it clearly stating that the total sum of what's in there is 188GB Does anyone know how I can locate the 100GB of mystery 'stuff' that has taken over my applications folder?
