Application (Intel) - error installing on M4 Pro chip

I have the M4 pro chip in my MacBook Pro. There has been a few applications I have attempted to install and failed and I suspect it is because they were the Intel versions. I have Rosetta installed (I checked by ticking the 'open with rosetta' box in terminal). The app in question was epic games launcher for unreal editor. I drag the dmg file to my applications folder sucessfully then when trying to open the apps - 'error occured when installing' window appears. Is there a work-around ? Force the mac to install and run the intel version ? Thank you in advance !
