2014 MBP. Should I install Sequoia?

I have a pretty mint condition mid-2014 MBP running Big Sur. It’s barely used because I’ve always had a work MBP as well as a personal iMac or Mac Mini at home. I’ve read that Sequoia might slow it down. Anyone else have experience with this? Should I keep it on Big Sur? Or maybe upgrade to something in between? For reference, these are the specs: 2.6 GHz Dual-Core i5 8GB RAM Intel Iris 1536 MB graphics
