Recent Air Quality around Kakkanad

I live in Kakkanad and I've noticed a drastic drop in air quality over the past few months. The horizon seems to be blurred my smoke even in the noon. There is a noticeable smoke-ish smell at night. Tonight, it smells like the corporation waste trucks if I step out of the balcony. I have an air purifier, and it goes to red if I crack open my balcony.
