What is the hostel life like at Cochin Univeristy (CUSAT)?

My brother will be giving CUSAT this year among many other options... I myself have not met any alumni from there... or had an opportunity to visit the place. My brother is expecting a decent rank, from his preparation. I did not get much review about the hostel quality... so if anyone is currently studying there or is an alumni... kindly give info. I read about them not providing stuff like wifi or the bathrooms are subpar... but understandable due to low fees... **however that was a review from 2019** and I did not get new reviews... so any info will help. My brother will probably opt for CS/Mech... are the opportunities good there?
