Test ride hopping in kochi

Basically when you test ride bikes/cars you like just to have fun and no intention to buy it. I used to do it back home with royal enfields and KTM (would tell them ofc) and they were generally okay with it. Is it frowned upon in kochi? Do i have to seem like a potential buyer? I have been waiting to get my license to test out some cool bikes/cars that we cant generally in other parts of kerala.
