Need education on Ernakulam

Hi guys. I’m doing my Masters here in Thrippunithura and I’ll finish it in a few months. Even though I’m born here and my mother’s side is in Paravur, I’m still not proficient in the place, hostspots etc. all I know is the viral hit stuff from oh.kochi instagram page which is just all about cash grab now. I’ve been to many famous cafes and all that. Still I am not cool enough to continue a conversation related to Kochi. Where do I start? I cannot go and explore each place since I’m not independent. Give me a guide to learn about this place in this era and I want to form my own perspectives on it.
