How to pay this e-challan after due date?

Family owned old car got a fine for parking on road side few months back. Details came in my father’s number and he missed. We came to know about the challan 6 days before due and I tried to pay on the same day. Payment failed and till today it was showing payment failed and was not able to re try the payment. Now, it has been sent to court. Worst part is , It didn’t sent to virtual court as payment was attempted and ERNAKULAM is very far from where I stay. Can we resolve it in local court nearby? How to resolve this? Kindly help.
