Handwriting Gadget Recommendations

I really enjoy scribbling down my thoughts, whether it’s for work, daily random stuff, plans, or anything else. I’m looking to buy an gadget specifically for writing and organizing/saving them. While the iPad is an option, it’s quite expensive, and since I only need it for writing, it might not be worth the cost. I recently read about the reMarkable tablet—has anyone used this or a similar device? Any recommendations?
