Is there any way to get court married (register office) without people in my village finding out?

I'm from a small village and everyone knows everyone else. I'm looking to get married but due to certain issues, cannot have a proper wedding ceremony with people (family court case, mourning etc). Is it possible to register my marriage without anyone in my village knowing and later have the ceremony? We're both Hindus if that matters.
