Deceitfully made guarantor to my father's loan. Now got interview call to UPSC Civil services. Please help me
My father had took business loan from an urban cooperative bank about 10 years ago. However his business tanked and is been deep financial distress. But the bank directors were friends with my dad and they evergreened the loan since then. However 4 years back when I just turned 21, dad made me sign the evergreened loan form to made me the guarantor for the loan. I was first hesitant to it, but dad and bank directors assured me that it's just a formality and you'll be safe. So I signed it. 4 years later loan amount has become around 65 lakhs, bank has started sarfaesi proceedings against my father and me, by filing a case in Chief Judicial Magistrate. Also I qualified UPSC mains 2024 and my interview is on April. Thing that stressing me lately that I have to fill a affidavict form mentioning if I have any pending case against me. Further if I make it to the list, a police verification will ensure and also I have to declare my assets and liabilities to the commission when I join the service. These things are driving me mad over these months, and is affecting my interview prep I'm trying to sell the ancestral property (around 2acre), but haven't find genuine buyers yet. Please tell me any solutions to get out of this quagmire Ps- i know it's on me. I shouldn't have filled the loan form. But that time, I just turned 21 and was young and immature and most sadly, I trusted my dad. He told me not to interfere in these matters and focus on studies, which what exactly I did.2
