NCERT ATOMIC DOUBT

If only magnetic field is applied, electron moves toward +x axis I e. Screen and magnetic field is toward +z axis , so v × B = -j(cap) and electron has - ve charge so direction will be +j(cap) as F=q(v × B) So electron should deflect toward A not C .But it is given C ?
