How to console someone?

I have family friend who is like a brother to me in the recent mains he got 90 percentile and he is extremely disappointed he was hoping for above 99 but he couldn't make it Now all his family members are against him and he has eaten in 2 days I want to console him but I don't know how I preparing jee too but I can't think of a way that could make his feel better I know a lot a people experienced this too what would you have wanted to hear if you were in his place, something that would make you feel better and not lose hope
