CRISISISSS!! need help in maths😭

So basically we were taught functions today and sir taught in terms of set and suddenly asked a question using graphs and I wasn't able to make the instant connection........ Help. I need to be better than this, I need to be more responsive and have a better clarity in all mathematical concepts, I think I am having a breakdown but ignore that. Tell me this, how do I get good at understanding maths, at feeling how it all can be represented on graphs, in terms of functions and in terms of arithmetic expression.... Am I making sense, like how do I truly understand maths?
