Op is cooked, my gf gifted me this jacket last year and she’s dead now!

I let my roommate wear it a few days back and god know how he managed to tear it in such a way! Is it possible to recover it anyhow, I don’t want to throw it or give it away as it has some sentimental values attached to it. The jacket is from red tape and Material: Shell- 95% Polyester
