Jaipur police tricked me into Bribing.

I am not from Jaipur. I was driving a non-Jaipur number car. There is a small cut before Sanganer Puliya on Tonk road, I think Kalyan nagar cut. I was in the middle of the road and the light changed to red. One policeman stopped and told me I had broken the signal, so I had to pay the fine. First, I tried to convince him but he did not accept. After that, I was ready to pay the fine. He started entering the details of my car into his machine and asked for 1000 rupees. I took out 1000 cash. He took it and said challan is 2000 I will settle in 1000. I tried to convince him but couldn't. I gave in after hearing 2000. I checked later challan is 1000. Now, I feel utterly dumb.
