Different take on Monica’s opinion about Indians and their makeup preferences! 🫢

She is Monica, a beauty creator on YouTube. She’s in India currently and she posted this today. Now, I totally get what she’s saying, but I think the reason most Indian women stick to just lipstick and kajal is more than just the lack of foundation shades. 1. The climate plays a huge role – most of India is humid, and a full face of makeup just doesn't hold up well. 2. It’s also cultural – we have grown up watching our mothers do the same. Kajal and lipstick were the staples, so naturally, we picked that up too🤷🏻‍♀️ 3. And honestly, it’s practical. The working class, especially women with 9-5 jobs and public transport commutes, barely have time for full face of makeup on everyday basis. Lipstick and kajal are quick, effective and makes u look presentable! And yes, I m not denying about the not so inclusive shades range in India. But I feel like that’s not the reason why most people in India don’t wear anything apart from lipstick and kajal.✌️🙃
