When will Android match iOS in this regard?

My dad has an S23 Plus. Apparently it has software support promised for 4 years. Why is there no One UI 7 update yet for it? I think it launched with the new S25 series. There is no clarity for it online too, people are just waiting, when it will be released by Samsung. Compare this to Apple, where if iOS 18 is announced, every single eligible device gets the update at the same date same time, no waiting or guessing, this also shows in the adoption rate, almost 85% of eligible ios devices are running ios 18. What’s the use of Samsung assuring software support for 7 years on a flagship if they don’t have a clear unified update path for every eligible device? That’s why I’m skeptical about their promise. They copy Apple on stupid shit like headphone jack and charger, why don’t they copy their software update mechanism too? Edit- Why are people downvoting me for just asking a question??
