Jio STB connect to VGA monitor

Hi everyone, I am getting a jio fiber connection with set top box. But I don't have a tv , have a desktop with old vga monitor. I know there is way to use hdmi to vga coverter along with audio output but anyone here actually done it ? Does it really work? Would you care to leave the product link in comment that worked for you ?
