Someone managed to sign in to my account

I want to know whether attackers target individuals or just go on a hacking spree on mass accounts. I made Amazon log out of every device other than this one and changed my password. If it's targeting individuals, then I'm not a worthy target because I'm broke as fuck. So if the attacker targeted me individually, then they are dumb as fuck, so I won't worry about them. If it's a hacking spree on mass targets, then I'm just one of them, and I assume they won't put much effort into hacking me again because of the same logic: "One death is a tragedy; a million is a statistic." I'd love to hear your thoughts.
