Why is phones hotspot so slow even after having 5g?

When I use in my phone it’s working fine but when I switch on the hotspot the device receiving it gets slow speeds What I can I do to improve it? I have done all the basic things like restart the phone and use the phone in better area where signal strength is very good but non of that works
