Why do FAANG companies layoffs more than other mid tier companies

Despite the toughest hiring process ,they easily let go off the talent than other companies say for example Siemens,Mercedes Benz ,NXP ,Exxon Mobil and the likes Why do high paying companies do this more than mid paying companies?
