Hello from an American Republican.

If you were to Google "typical American republican/conservative from the south" you'd basically see me. I drive a pickup, I have tattoos, I live in the south and so forth. There is a fringe group of trash here that has decided to pick on Indians. The same thing is happening in Canada. Please understand that is NOT reflective of how we feel as a whole. I went to university with many people from India, and have gone with them to India 3 times fo visit their families. I respect your culture and your values and work ethic and the importance you place on education. Some of the best physicians, engineers and Lawyers in this country are originally from India. You are great people. Please understand one thing about America. There is a group of people that is always looking to blame someone else for their own problems. Pre and post civil rights and to this very day, there are people who blame African Americans for everything. Jewish people, Asian people, Indian people... some will always want go just scapegoat an easy target. It's just become your turn so to speak. I just wanted to say hello and let you know that the loud insane racist people on social media and the news is not who 99% of us Republicans (I voted trump after being a Democrat for many years, I am 34) are.
