Latent affecting normal life

So during the evening I was in kitchen with my mother and didi. We were discussing normal stuff and had cooked something, so we were just filling out plates and getting ready to eat. I was wondering what should I have in the sides, achar or papad? I finally decided and announced 'mujhe papad chahiye' My didi said okay and started looking for it. She couldn't find it and asked our mother 'papad kahan rakhe hai, mil hi nahi rahe hain' my mother thought for a second and replied 'Wo cupboard ma hai, Kali thaili ma'. My didi replied 'Kali thaili ma kyun rakha, dhundna mushkil hota hai.' And me being the follower of supreme leader who is trying to be spontaneous and funny like Samay, I shouted with excitement 'haan Papad hai.. Pad thode hai' I was expecting a laughter but there was pin drop silence of embarrassment. I tried to break the ice and said 'Itna acha to tha joke'. My didi replied in angry tone and said 'Dimag kharab hai kya bol raha hai.. jaa bahar' I got so awkward and my mother didn't even say a word. Yes I come from very conservative family when it comes to such topics. I ran outside and started scrolling phone. I am loving IGL and it's dark comedy, but as they say, you are average of people and things you surround yourself with.
