Why Anupama makers want to make Kavya out of Mahi?

Just watched the promo of tomorrow's episode. They have been trying to draw a parallel between Mahi & Kavya. This track might be typical ITV dramatic but it's so wrong. Like does every daughter becomes what her mother was? I can understand having similar character traits. For eg, being selfish, being impulsive or even being compulsive liar. Here, in fact, Mahi's personality is very different from Kavya. But still she'll become a homewrecker only! Or try to become one.
