Masterchef India
I’ve been watching this show since Season 1 because of its format. Contestants aren’t judged by the audience, which can sometimes be biased or emotional. Instead, they’re judged by qualified chefs, which feels fair. I skipped the last season, though, because I felt Chef Pooja wasn’t the right choice as a judge, she’s a pastry chef, and I think a judge should be well-rounded in all skills. Now they’re bringing in celebrities, and I’m pretty sure it’s going to be all about TRPs and drama. Why is SONY so obsessed with turning every reality show into a sob fest? Maybe that’s why their fiction shows aren’t working, because their reality shows already have all the crying and unnecessary sad stories. People watched this show for its focus on cooking only, and I used to love it for that. But now they’re making it lose its charm.3
